Religion-based violence Recent Measures by the US Government by Sophia Barkat To curb violence from Religion-based Militant groups it would seem necessary to start investigating not just Muslim charities but other religion-based organizations as well. Recently, I read an article by Freeminds.org about Watchtower Bible Tract Society having 50% shares in a company, REGI Inc, that makes engines for the defense establishment. The Watchtower is the organizational equivalent of the Vatican to the Jehovah's Witness. I wrote an article on it, especially since the Watchtower site condemns violence and is run by donations of believers worldwide. I also contacted them and don't know if I will get a reaction. Post 911, Muslim Charities have become the item of much controversy. Today, Saudi businessmen that give money to Muslim Charities are being questioned about possible intentional donations to Al-Quaida, though it's equally likely the donations were for charitable purposes.
